I was staying with producer Joel Silver after a break up. I was so depressed he decided to cheer me up by inviting me to hang with him on the set of LETHAL WEAPON. Then he put me in the movie.
Working with Zalman King on RED SHOE DIARIES was a great experience. The first time I had really worked with an actors director.
I decided to go blonde for my role in PAYBACK-I think it paid off.
LAKE CONSEQUENCE got rave reviews in Italy, where I was welcome with open arms as the next big thing.
I was cast in IN DARK PLACES because of my twisted sister role in WISEGUY.
During A MATTER OF TRUST shooting I found it hard to trust anyone as I was dealing with some really serious things at that time.
I still haven’t seen WRITE TO KILL.
I enjoyed working with Corbin Bernsen again on SEX&CONSEQUENCES after first hanging out with him in NY while modeling and then again on LA LAW.
I’ve done 3 movies with C.Thomas Howell and 2 with Mel Gibson.
Action
My first TELEVISION appearance was in a film called “Murder at the World Series”. It starred Janet Leigh, Karen Valentine and Lynda Day George.
The director, Andrew V. McLean, hired me to be the cut off person for the camera. That means, as the camera is dollying one way or another, whenever they saw me they knew they were to frame me out of the shot--and that the “stars” were seated next to me. The director asked me to where bright green. I naively complied---and never saw myself in the film--but i did see my green sleeve.
After shooting, when I went to collect my days pay,the director intentionally took me aside and told me to forget about having a movie career--as my nose was too big and crooked.
