My first film was FUTUREWORLD with Peter Fonda, Yul Brynner and Blythe Danner, directed by Richard Heffron. I played an usher and got the sheer pleasure of opening the door for Blythe and her very young daughter at the time, Gwenyth Paltrow. Now there’s some movie trivia I bet you didn’t know!

Or however thick the emulsion is on the film they are shooting with. These images were all shot with actual film and when looking at them to scan them---there really is a big difference in the two processes.
Film gives you that REAL feeling when you look at and digital looks like it has already been printed, flattened. I see this more and more as I watch movies these days.

The last shot here of me with no make-up was one I did not like when I shot it. I guess back then I didn’t like myself or my image without make-up. Now it is my favorite shot and I am so happy that I have a copy of it because at home I rarely wear make-up anymore and still look a lot like this photo.
Me as a blonde---my DOLLY wig days---I actually wore that thing a lot. One day I was wearing that and walking back home from somewhere when I heard “Joan?”---I couldn’t believe someone had recognized me....They said they knew who I was from my walk.
I cherish the shot of me with the dog because I no longer have her and it brings back fond memories when I look at it--she was with me everywhere.
The first photo was one that was thrown out as a cover option for Playboy 1990. I love this photo and there are several more like it in different colors of fabric---I will exchange from time to time.
