I was shooting 2 films back to back at night and having a very hard time sleeping. We would usually wrap shooting just at sunrise about 6ish. I would throw on my sunglasses and speed home to get in bed before too much light hit me and rendered me incapable of sleeping.

I had rented a home in the hollywood hills and put aluminum foil on all the windows so that it would be dark all the time. That stuff works great by the way and cheap too.

I felt like Dracula and could totally relate to the need of food and sleep:)

I was also battling some strange bug I picked up while in Australia. Fever, bloating, I felt like I was pregnant but wasn’t--it turned out to be a parasite I had gotten from eating kangaroo.

When I watch these films I can see that the spark is not in my eyes that is usually there--that would be the illness--and I recall how the prop master always had a bucket nearby. Not always how you wish to remember a shoot--but hey--the show must go on!
